The sushi here is great. They have such a wide variety of different types of sushi including raw sushi. In the restaurant they also have an area where you can find a traditional style buffet. The staff are super nice. I also really like that you can see the chefs making the sushi rolls behind the counter, so you know that their sushi is fresh. The prices usually run around 18 with water and around 21 with a drink. Would come again.
This place is clean and the food was decent for the price. They keep the buffet well stocked. They don’t have the biggest variety but what they do have is being roared enough during busy lunch time it doesn’t look like you’re eating something that’s been under a heat lamp for hours. I would recommend for a quick & easy lunch. The staff is friendly & helpful. (At least when we went)
Stopped by Today September 4,2025 & was Greeted by the Host Desiree which was so kind and answered all my questions. Food was so yummy and definitely going back! Thank you Desiree for your help!
I usually tell people don't chance your life eating sushi at a Chinese buffet. However Kurai has broken the curse. This was one of the best buffet I have ever eaten at. The selection is smaller than most Chinese buffet but maybe the key is just that. Everything on the buffet was fresh and delicious. The sushi was excellent and just as good as a sushi only restaurant. I most definitely will be back!
Amazing sushi options, Chinese food is just as great and I loved how attentive the staff were on keeping up with the food options and ensuring its freshness. My server was very polite and attentive to our drinks and consistently checking in. Definitely going back with other family members so they know this place is legit. Kurai is a constant place for my and my family now.
I've only gotten their food DoorDashed since I just moved here recently, which is why I put a 3 for service and 3 for atmosphere, but I'll come back and update it when I go there in person. I got a combo plate with teriyaki chicken, Tokyo rice, assorted sushi pieces, a small spring roll, and a small cucumber and imitation crab salad. Spring roll was ok, but everything else was superb and had so much flavor, especially the chicken and rice. UPDATE: Big selection, about 60% of what they put out slaps, but that's to be expected of any buffet, to be honest. More than enough good food to fill you up. Great sushi. Servers were just a little inattentive sometimes but not a big deal really.
We (family) went here for my birthday and it was our first time. I'm going to give this place a major, huge thumbs up. Remember by my profile that I've worked in 69 different food service establishments as a cook or Chef in charge so I know a little something about good food. This place had a great variety of different types of sushi rolls both fried and cold, there could have been more Tuna offered, and I was looking for shrimp, ( my fave) but there wasn't any. However, the creativity of what they did offer was impressive. My wife and I both Loved this fried roll that had coconut on the outside, simply delicious (another big thumbs up). Now let me tell you about the buffet selections!! WOW!! First of all they have several noodle dishes to choose from ( most buffets offer only lo mein). I am a big fan of fried green bean so I couldn't have been happier that they had them. Not only was there beef and broccoli but chicken and broccoli, which I've never seen on a Chinese buffet. One beef an onion dish did have meat that was a little tuff but still had great flavor. My son had these ribs that were super tender and in a very delightful sauce. Lastly I want to Thank our server Jose for an outstanding job of taking the best care of us. He was always there checking on us, removing our plates, and getting everything thing we needed on a timely basis. It was his great service that made my birthday day dinner that much more special. I want to recommend this place, so give it a try, I'm sure you will not be disappointed.
The raw and cooked sushi is to die for love it. I ate 2 plates of sushi almost finished with my 2nd plate.
